Meet Emily
Owner & Landscape Architect
Led by Emily Milliman, Milliman Design Studio creates thoughtful landscapes shaped by place, people, and care. A Harvard-trained landscape architect and artist with over 13 years of experience, Emily designs outdoor spaces for residential clients, public settings, and institutions—bringing together ecology, culture, and craft to create landscapes that feel both intentional and inviting.

Thought Leadership for Ecology-Forward Design
Emily shares her perspective on landscape architecture, ecology, design, and the business of creating meaningful places through conference presentations, podcasts, and industry conversations.
Her work and ideas have been featured in conversations about landscape architecture as a creative and collaborative discipline—from designing more biodiverse residential landscapes to exploring how landscape architects can lead conversations around climate, community, and place.
