PROJECT SUMMARY
Riverside Plaza is a 0.25-acre public gathering space in the heart of historic Medford, MA. The project transformed the site into a vibrant hub for passive recreation, cultural activities, and public events. A comprehensive signage and wayfinding plan connects the plaza to a larger network of open spaces along the Mystic River, as well as walking and biking routes linking key cultural and historic sites throughout the city. Amenities include enhanced lighting, a public performance stage, exercise and bicycle facilities, rain gardens, street trees, music and play elements, and both permanent and flexible seating.
