DESIGN SERVICES

SITE INVENTORY AND ASSESSMENT
Documentation of the existing site conditions through field visits and desktop analysis, including vegetation, hydrology, viewsheds, soils, utilities, and microclimate. This baseline data informs all subsequent phases of design and coordination.

EXISTING CIRCULATION OR TOPOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS
Assess existing site circulation patterns — vehicular, pedestrian, and service access — in conjunction with topographic conditions to identify constraints, grade relationships, and opportunities for improved movement, accessibility, and spatial organization.

CONCEPT SKETCHES WITH PRELIMINARY GRADING STUDIES
Initial design concepts are developed through hand sketches or digital studies, overlaid with preliminary grading analyses to evaluate feasibility, establish spot elevations, and begin shaping landform in support of spatial and drainage strategies.

PROGRAM
DEVELOPMENT
We work collaboratively to define and refine the site program, translating user needs, operational requirements, and project goals into spatial criteria that guide layout, circulation, and hierarchy of site elements.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PLANS / DETAILS
Design intent is translated into scaled plans, diagrams, and detail drawings. This phase includes refinement of layout geometry, grading relationships, and selection of materials and systems, preparing the design for documentation and cost estimation.

MATERIALS & PLANTING PALETTES
Hardscape and planting palettes that respond to project performance criteria, maintenance expectations, and ecological context. Selections are informed by availability, durability, and compatibility with site microclimates and soils.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION
I produce or assist with full CD sets including layout, grading, drainage, planting, and hardscape details. Drawings are coordinated for bid and permit readiness and tailored to meet local codes, agency standards, and contractor needs.

TECHNICAL DRAWING REVIEW/REDLINES
I review plan sets and technical drawings for consistency, clarity, constructibility, and alignment with project intent. Redlines may include grading logic, layout accuracy, code compliance, and coordination with other disciplines.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT / FIELD VERIFICATION
I provide construction-phase support including coordination with design and construction teams, review of submittals and RFIs, and on-site field verification of layout, elevations, and materials to ensure fidelity to design intent.
